My Philosophy of Movement Training — The Three Cornerstones of Success:

Specificity

Personalized attention is the most important cornerstone of my work. Not all bodies are the same. We all have different abilities, limitations, and injuries. Furthermore, we all have goals that are unique to ourselves. So a “one size fits all” approach is not an effective nor an efficient path to achieving these goals.

I am training YOU. I pride myself on an open-minded and holistic approach to each person that is grounded in YOUR needs, not mine. No one wants to feel like they are on someone else’s conveyor belt of cookie cutter exercises. My goal is to tailor the program and each session to you!

Consistency

Achieving a lifetime of optimal health and peak performance requires a solid foundation. So I begin with the foundations of biomechanics and functional movement. Initially, each client moves through a series of functional movement assessment exercises. We identify where you are, where you want to be, and then we build a strategy to bridge the gap. I pride myself in challenging my clients in ways that guide them on a gradually ascending line of health, success, and excellence while mitigating burnout or negativity. The goal is to keep getting better until your bad days are good, your good days are great, and your great days are sublime! THIS is sustained excellence!

Vitality

Vitality is an essential aspect of a vibrant, healthy, and joyful life. And vitality starts with movement! Whether you are trying to lose weight, recovering from an injury, or pursuing the pinnacle of your athletic potential, you will eventually encounter struggles, setbacks, and roadblocks. Part of my job is to help you weave joy and vitality into each step of the way. Body mind, and spirit are all part of this pursuit and I believe that joy and vitality ought to be central to our hard work.

My Clients

My clients are professional athletes, circus acrobats, Ironman triathletes, elite performers, cross-fit casualties, and weekend warriors. I have helped many athletes make the jump from high school to college and from college to professional sports. I also teach people recovering from major injuries and/or dealing with physical limitations. Whether you are working toward winning the US Open, training for an Ironman Triathlon, auditioning for Cirque Du Soliel, or simply seeking the best version of yourself: I can help you achieve your goals and achieve them for a lifetime!
